Battle Creek Police, Faith Baptist Church, and others in the community have joined efforts to support 12 families for the holidays.
The Faith Baptist team has been essential to leading the Officers of Hope program in Battle Creek for the last five years. The Battle Creek Community Foundation and Battle Creek Police Officers Association also join the effort.
The program supports families in the community who have been impacted by violent crime, providing meals and gifts for the winter holidays. BCPD’s detective bureau and victim advocate determine which families need some extra support each year.
“We have immense respect and gratitude for Faith Baptist Church for leading this program,” said BCPD Sgt. Jeff Case. “This is another way we can work together to spread joy and support to neighbors in our community.”
Members of this team completed deliveries to the families this week.
