The City of Springfield has issued a boil water advisory due to a fire Hydrant replacement at the intersection of W Michigan Avenue and Van Buren St W. This affects water customers on W Michigan Avenue, Van Buren St W and Limit St. The city says this is a precautionary measure, and officials say it may take several days before the water is completely safe for consumption. This advisory will be in effect until further notice affected water customers will be notified via door hangers when the advisory has been lifted.
