City of Clio issued the following announcement on Mar 19.
HAVING FIREFIGHTERS WHO ARE AVAILABLE available to respond in a moments notice, and to a lesser degree staffing, are state and national trends that Genesee County encapsulates, officials told MLive-The Flint Journal in recent weeks.
“It’s just the participation,” Clio Area Fire Chief Jim Bronson explained. “Everybody has life outside of work and the fire department that they want to be involved with. It seemed like before we had more people showing up for fires and that’s where we’re struggling.”
