County of Calhoun issued the following announcement on Dec 18.
Congratulations to Deputy Circuit Court Administrator Megan Reynolds and Juvenile Probation Services Manager Phil Amsterburg, who recently completed the Certified Court Manager Certification program offered by the National Center for State Courts. These two Circuit Court employees went through training that included certifications in accountability and court performance, budget management, caseflow and workflow management, project management for courts, responsibilities of courts, and workforce management.
Circuit Court Administrator Kris Getting shared that this program is one of very few in the country to focus specifically on courts management: "The business of the courts requires a combination of solid public service, efficiency, fairness, equality and integrity. Learning how to monitor and steer thousands of cases and nearly two hundred employees within the state’s legal structure takes years of hands-on work in situations where mistakes can deprive someone of their freedom or justice. This course provides our managers the education necessary to ensure the best outcome for the community and our employees."
