ARPA Update

Ty

City of Owosso issued the following announcement on Nov 5.

Thank you to everyone who completed the ARPA survey. Thirty-five percent of the participants picked improvements to public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, water, and sewer) as their number one priority and fifty percent gave this category five stars (the highest possible).

The next step in the city’s ARPA process will be to collect applications for ARPA projects. Applications for businesses and nonprofits are available on the city’s website. City of Owosso staff will also need to submit applications for city-managed projects, such as infrastructure-related items. All applications need to be submitted by January 31, 2022.

City Council will begin scoring all applications in February. The City Manager will give a presentation to City Council regarding the highest scoring applications in March and final projects will be selected.
