CALHOUN COUNTY VISITORS BUREAU: Bring Oktoberfest Home

Anounce

Calhoun County Visitors Bureau issued the following announcement.

Get your Oktoberfest on with a little help from our local brewers. Buy beer in cans and growlers for your own festival at home. Prost!

Territorial Brewing Co.

Fill your growler with German beer and order some German food for take-out at Territorial Brewing Co.

Brats and spätzle go well with a glass of Stagekölsch. Or pick up a four-pack of something like Springfield Slammer, a light amber lager.

Handmap Brewing

It’s a rotating menu for Handmap, from an IPA to the Froot Loops-infused Two Can Mash.

For an extra fall treat, Handmap is introducing a maple syrup brown ale this November.

Taproom hours are expanding: 3 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays; 3 to 11 p.m. Fridays; noon to 11 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays.

Dark Horse Brewing Co.

While Dark Horse beers are stocked at the grocery store, take a drive to the Commons for seasonal items.

The Harvest Ale is made with hops that have been grown and brewed in Marshall. Buy a few cans before this autumn special leaves the shelves.

Grand River Brewery

Grand River Brewing has its own fall beer, called the Doc’s Hops Harvest Ale. The hops were grown in Burlington, not too far from the Marshall taproom.

The brewpub will also fill 16 oz. cans for you of anything on tap, such as the Festbier.

Albion Malleable Brewing Co.

Did you know that hamburgers were invented in Germany? So it’s perfectly acceptable to add the best burger in Michigan to your Oktoberfest celebration.

Grab a growler or howler of beer that leans toward the Belgian side of brewing.
