Albion College Athletics issued the following announcement.
The Albion College women's track and field team earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team status for the 2019-20 school year. The team posted a 3.12 GPA, being one of 209 Division III teams honored.
The team was recognized for the second consecutive season, including a more impressive ninth time in the last 10 years.
To qualify for All-Academic Team status, a team must hold a 3.1 cumulative GPA.
Backed by 20-point days from Layla Wilks and Alexis McGinley, the team took home second place at the MIAA Indoor Championships. A promising outdoor season was on the horizon for the Britons before the year ended prematurely due to COVID-19.
