Albion College Athletics issued the following announcement.
Cullen Cox and Kejuan Frazier have been named USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, as announced on Thursday. 325 men from 107 Division III institutions were recognized.
Cox set an Albion record on his way to earning All-American status in the 400-meter dash at the MIAA Indoor Championship. His time of 49.57 helped him secure a spot at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championship. The sophomore exercise science major also scored at the conference meet in two more events, finishing sixth in the 200m dash and fourth as the anchor on the 4x4 relay squad.
Frazier also had an impressive indoor campaign, winning the MIAA shot put title (15.92m). The junior was named USTFCCCA Indoor All-Region following his performances this season. A pre-medicine major, Frazier's throw of 16.1m at the Bob Eubanks Open in January stood as the fifth-longest in the region come season's end.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a 3.30 cumulative GPA and meet one of the following athletic criteria: 1) finished the indoor season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order on TFRRS or accepted into the Indoor National Championship or 2) competed on one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the descending order on TFRRS or accepted into the Indoor National Championship.
The men's team was looking to build off their fourth place finish at the MIAA Indoor Championships before COVID-19 halted the outdoor season.
