SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC WORKS

The City of Albion, a diverse community (pop. 7,700) is seeking applicants for the position of Superintendent of Public Works.
Salary range $50,000 - $65,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
This is a full-time position with benefits, including BCBSM insurance, a 7% pension contribution and licensure incentives. Under the supervision of the Director of Public Services, oversees, coordinates and supervises the operations and daily work output of the City’s streets, parks, cemetery and forestry units of the public works division. Assists in a variety of administrative tasks, including budget and manpower development and resource allocation. An Associate’s degree or two years of college-level courses in engineering, forestry, horticulture or related field, or equivalent is preferred. Thorough knowledge of public works operating procedures, road construction techniques and equipment and tools used in public works operations.
