City of Marshall issued the following announcement on Aug 13.
Tuesday Night Marshall Fire Department participated in an Amtrak Training Presentation. These trains are now traveling through the city at a rate of 110 mph. We would like to remind the citizens of a few key rail road safety aspects.
1. Never stop directly on a rail road crossing.
2. Never walk directly on or next to the train tracks
3. Call 911 Immediately if you ever get stuck and are unable to get off the rail road tracks
