City of Battle Creek MI Government issued the following announcement on July 17.
On Monday, July 20, Strain Electric will begin the process of replacing traffic signal infrastructure at two intersections.
The contractors will be working at the intersections of Capital Avenue/Van Buren Street and Cliff Street/Main Street. During this work, motorist should expect lane closures at times.
Additionally, pedestrians should be advised that the sidewalks at the intersection will be closed for the duration of the work. A detour will be provided for pedestrians.
This project is expected to be completed by November, weather permitting
Motorists should anticipate possible traffic delays and are advised to seek alternate routes.
