How do you promote a very friendly, handsome Husky with less than desirable “quirks”? Well, you simply say he’s a Husky  and people who know this breed, KNOW! But along with the breed quirks, you get the awesomeness that comes with a Husky too

Yeti is a great dog available for adoption, who is ready to go a permanent home! He has been bounced from home to home before he landed safely at someone’s house who knew enough to bring him to SHS where we could look for the right fit.

YETI’s Husky AWESOMENESS-
•Loves people!

•Does well with kids, but his size should be considered if you have little ones in the home

•Gets along well with dogs

•Seemed indifferent to the cats he was exposed to in a previous home (although we are unsure how much they interacted).

•Loves to go for walks, and loves to play with toys!

•Has a beautiful singing voice but is actually pretty quiet for a husky, he doesn’t seem to be much of a barker/howler (at least at the shelter)

YETI’S Husky quirks-
•Proficient escape artist (needs fenced in yard)

•No challenge is too big. He will dig at chain link fences and pull on them roughly/ repeatedly with his teeth

•Has separation anxiety and can escape a crate that isn’t built for strength

•Loves to run. And run. And run.

•Very few problems with house-breaking, although as an unneutered male, he thought it was his job to mark EVERYTHING. He has since been neutered so that should remedy the situation.
