BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City contractors will be working on overhead power lines along Battle Creek Linear Path, resulting in temporary closures and detours of two sections of the path, from now through early April.

The specific Battle Creek Linear Path closures and detours are as follows:

Closure: Battle Creek Linear Path along Wagner Drive, near the intersection of Wagner and Union Street S.

  • Detour: Neighbors headed southwest along this section of Battle Creek Linear Path should follow Wagner Drive to the intersection of Wagner and Union Street S., and take a left on Union. Then, head south down Union until returning to the path.
Closure: Battle Creek Linear Path along Wagner Drive, from the intersection at Wagner and Wren Street to the intersection of the path and E. Emmett Street

  • Detour: Neighbors headed northeast along this section of Battle Creek Linear Path, at the intersection of Wagner Drive and Wren Street, should cross over Wagner using the crosswalk and proceed down the west sidewalk along Wagner. Then, turn right down E. Emmett Street, at the intersection of Wagner and Emmett, and proceed until they are able to return to the north-bound path.
