ACCOUNTING CLERK – GENERAL
City of Albion
Starting wage is $18.47 per hour with union step increases. The position is responsible for maintaining General Ledger/Budget of the City, including processing journal entries, reconciling accounts, monitoring line items, and other accounting-related duties. A minimum of an Associate’s degree is required; a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and significant experience in government or non-profit accounting or other accounting experience is strongly preferred. Must have at least three years of accounting experience with some formal training in computerized systems, word processing, and spreadsheet software; or a combination of education and experience (At the City’s discretion, an additional 2 years of accounting experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree).
