After a break during the height of the pandemic, the City of Battle Creek will hold our annual appreciation picnic for employees this week, on Thursday, Sept. 15.
This means most city buildings will be closed that day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. so that as many city team members as possible can attend and enjoy the picnic.
The city’s 24/7 and some other services – like Water, Fire, Police, and Transit – will continue to operate during this time.
Please plan your city business around this closure. Many services are available on our website, battlecreekmi.gov. City staff appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding so they can gather during these lunch hours.
