Village of Concord issued the following announcement on July 21.
Household Hazardous Waste Collection – August 26, 2021
Thanks to a generous grant provided by the Consumers Energy Foundation, the Jackson County Conservation District is holding a Household Hazardous Waste Collection on Thursday, August 26th!
The collection location will be at the Jackson County DOT at 2400 N Elm Ave., Jackson (PLEASE ENTER FROM CHANTER RD. AND LOOK FOR OUR YELLOW SIGN). The cost is $20 per vehicle and a reservation is required to take part in the collection.

This service is for Jackson County residents ONLY and no businesses.
LATEX PAINT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED! Recycling Jackson accepts latex paint and E-Waste the first Saturday of each month, one block behind Home Depot next to the Jackson Public Schools Bus Garage at 1401 N Brown St. There is a charge.
Latex paint can also be dried and disposed of in the landfill. Mixing paint with kitty litter or sawdust can expedite the drying process.
