City of Litchfield issued the following announcement on July 7.
Since the 4th of July holiday fell on a Sunday, garbage/recycling pick-up day did not change and is today. We apologize for the confusion created by incorrectly posting it would be on Thursday.
We have made arrangements for Modern Waste to come back tomorrow and pick up the garbage and recycling with one truck and it will be sorted at their facility.
If you did not get out your garbage and recycling this morning before Modern Waste came through, please have to the road for pickup sometime on Thursday.
