POLICE CLERK, PART-TIME

CIVILIAN EMPLOYMENT POSITION with the City of Clio’s Police Department, performs a wide variety of routine and complex clerical duties in support of the Department’s activities. Strong written and oral communication skills required, highly organized, discreet. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent typing and interpersonal skills. Often the initial point of contact for public who visit the Department. High school graduate or equivalency required. $11.70 staring hourly wage.

FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER

The City of Clio Police Department is accepting applications for full-time police officer positions. Competitive wage $21.48 - $26.33 with 5 year top out. MERS defined benefit pension with a 2.25% multiplier, medical insurance, flex spending account, 12-hour shifts, paid-time-off, 13 holidays, free uniform cleaning. We proudly serve a 1.12 square mile community of 2,500 residents with four full-time police officers, three part-time police officers, a Detective Sergeant and a Chief. Clio is located 1.5 miles west of I-75 along M-57 in northern Genesee County.

Minimum requirements:

• Must be MCOLES licensed or eligible for licensing upon appointment.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• No felony convictions and/or disqualifying criminal history.
• Ability to successfully pass an interview, background investigation, physical, psychological and drug screen.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, days, nights and holidays.
