Other information: Car 3, Engine 2, Rescue 3, Rescue 4, Engine 5, Truck 6, Squad 4, and Squad 6 were dispatched to Post's cereal manufacturing plant for a possible structure fire. Rescue 3 was the first unit to arrive, to find smoke coming from the basement of Building 29. Fire crews went interior to investigate. The fire was already extinguished by the sprinkler system, but there was still smoke in the area. The fire was caused by an overheated motor connected to the 55-gallon plastic drum used to siphon product for cleaning purposes. There was no extension of the fire from the origin of cause. No firefighters or civilians were injured.
