On Wednesday, March 5, former Athens High School standout Hunter Pidek’s current college team, the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, lost 11-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Akron Zips.

The game took place at Skeeles Field. This was their first matchup against the Zips this season.

The Golden Grizzlies’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 7 at 3 p.m. at Reese Smith Jr Field against Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders.
