First Annual SMS Culture Fair a Success | Battle Creek Public Schools
On December 16, 2022, the Northwestern Middle School (NWMS) attendance team and Positive School Experience team collaborated to host a “Breakfast Champions” celebration for outstanding student attendance and achievement. The hot breakfast celebration honored NWMS students who had achieved Student of the Month Honors for their grade level and those with fewer than three absences for the 2022-23 school year.
For the 23 students who attended this event, a special breakfast was prepared through Food Services and guest speakers that encouraged students to continue striving for greatness.
NWMS counselor Taurean Wilson shared, "It is always rewarding to see our middle school students making the connection between student achievement and regular classroom attendance," adding, "We look forward to continuing to find fun ways to reward more and more students in the future."
The Attendance and Positive School Experience teams would also like to thank the Northwestern Middle School Food Services Team for their collaboration in making this event come to life for the students!
