The First Day of School Is August 24!

School starts Wednesday, August 24 with a half day for all K-12 students! Make sure your student starts school on the first day. During the first few days of the year, students get in the habit of attending school, meet new teachers and friends, and begin learning right away! Students who miss the first few days of school often fall behind and can struggle to catch up. Don’t let your student miss a moment of the excitement — start school on August 24!

Not sure which school your student is attending this fall? Check online here.

We are gearing up for a successful return to school for the fall, and we’re so excited to welcome our students back. Here’s everything you need to know:

STARTING SCHOOL ON TIME IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR KINDERGARTENERS

If your child turns five by September 1, 2022, they should begin kindergarten on August 24. Every year, dozens of kindergartners in our community fall behind in school because they did not begin on time. Many parents may not be aware of the September 1 cutoff date, or of the need to enroll and register students in advance (this can help families avoid the first-day lines). So we are seeking everyone’s support to help us spread the word! If you know families with little ones, make sure to tell them their student needs to start school on time so they can begin socializing, learning, and growing right away.

To make sure your student is in kindergarten on the first day of school, it is essential that you enroll them before school begins. Register for kindergarten today here.
