City of Battle Creek issued the following announcement on Dec 3.
Routine inspection and cleaning of the city’s sanitary sewer system will take place on sections of Emmett Street beginning on Monday, December 6, 2021.
City contractor, Taplin Group LLC, will perform the work as part of the city’s routine televising and cleaning plan. “Televising” is the process of inspecting the sanitary sewer lines using cameras.
All work will take place in public rights of way and in sanitary sewer easements. Disruption to neighbors will be minimal and streets will remain open to traffic. However, temporary lane closures are possible. Please use caution while driving through these areas.
The following areas will be worked on starting Monday, with work taking place from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Televising is expected to be complete by December 20, weather permitting.
