City of Marshall issued the following announcement on Oct 30.
Leaf Pick WILL BEGIN on Monday November 1.
The crews will begin in the Southeast Section (south of Michigan Ave.), move clockwise to the Southwest Section (south of Michigan Ave.), then to the Northwest Section, and finally to the Northeast Section. Crews will make a second pass beginning in the Southeast Section upon completion of the first round. There will be no third pass for leaf pick-up and we will not return to previously completed areas for additional clean-up, please be mindful of our progress.
• Leaves should be placed between the sidewalk and the curb.
• No leaves should be placed in the roadway!
• Leaves mixed with brush or debris cannot be picked up and will become the property owner’s responsibility.
• Bagged leaves may be taken to the Compost Site.
Progress will be posted on the City’s Facebook page.
It is expected that the FINAL PICK UP will be completed by December 19, or sooner in your area. The Compost Center at the DPW garage will remain open Tuesday 3-6, Friday and Saturday 9-3 until the last day of operation for the compost site on November 20, 2021.
