Battle Creek Public Schools issued the following announcement on Aug 23.
BCPS is facing a severe bus driver shortage which will impact transportation on the first day of school and beyond. As of now, bus service will not be available for some students at Springfield, Northwestern, BC STEM, Post Franklin, Verona, LaMora Park, Ann J. Kellogg and Fremont.
BCCHS, W.K. Prep, Dudley STEM and Valley View routes are not impacted.
Affected families will receive a phone call and email, and can check Skyward for an update. If you do not receive a notification, your student is not affected.
We are working urgently on a solution, which may include later pickup and drop-off times, or support from community organizations.
