City of Springfield issued the following announcement on Aug 13.
As our recent need for remote services showed – there are some inequities as it relates to access to high-speed internet in Calhoun County. Therefore, KCC has partnered financially in the preliminary stages of understanding this need and continues to serve on the Calhoun County Broadband Taskforce.
Therefore, all Calhoun County residents are asked to participate in a broadband survey before Sept 30, 2021, to help bring high-speed internet to all households and businesses in the county. Please take the brief 5-minute survey and broadband speed test that will help create an accurate map of Internet connectivity in Calhoun County. This data will be leveraged to assist in broadband planning efforts! Take the survey and learn more at MichiganMoonshot.org/Calhoun, or if you would like to request a paper survey, please email Communications Manager Lucy Blair at lblair@calhouncountymi.gov or call 269-781-0926.
Tell your friends and family! Calhoun County residents can fill out the survey online, or if they do not have access to the internet, it's still important that we know. To access the survey, residents can also text @MOON to 855-613-1746.
