City of Battle Creek issued the following announcement.
See attached table for bus routes to specific polling places.
All rides with Battle Creek Transit will be free next Tuesday, Nov. 3 – Election Day – so that we can best help neighbors who wish to vote in person.
Both the fixed-route buses and Tele-Transit vans will run for free all day. Bus hours will be the same as usual for a Tuesday – 5:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Election polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Transit team has created a list of polling places matched to the bus routes that will get you to the closest stop, within one or two blocks. See below for that table.
If you cannot reach your polling place by bus, we added a Tele-Transit shuttle that will provide door-to-door service to your voting location. The shuttle will run from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. If you would like to use this shuttle, please call Transit in advanceat 269-966-3474, option 2.
For reference, bus routes are 1W West Michigan; 2W Columbia-Territorial; 3E Main-Post; 3W Kendall-Goodale; 4N NE Capital; 4S SW Capital.
Thank you for riding Battle Creek Transit, and for voting!
