Sen. Dr. John Bizon (R-Battle Creek) praised Albion College for recently being named one of the 10 Incredible Liberal Arts Colleges on the Rise by the online higher education website the College Gazette.
"Congratulations, Albion College! You're a first-class college, and you always set the standard," Bizon wrote in a Dec. 17 Facebook post.
According to the Albion's website, the school was the only college in the state of Michigan included in College Gazette's list. The criteria used for the liberal arts colleges on the rise list include a school's continued program success for the past 15 years as well as student and alumni success.
Albion also received ranking as a national liberal arts college in the U.S. News and World Report's Best Colleges 2020 edition.
