Rep. Steve Frisbie spent the last week participating in service activities across Calhoun County, working with local groups to address food insecurity, youth needs, and substance abuse prevention.
Frisbie volunteered at the South Michigan Food Bank, where he assisted with packing food boxes for families facing economic challenges. The organization continues to play an important role as many households are impacted by inflation and higher living costs.
He also took part in distributing Thanksgiving turkeys alongside McDonald’s and New Level Sports. This annual event aims to provide hundreds of residents with resources for a holiday meal.
Additionally, Frisbie recognized former county commissioner Art Kale and Dr. Harry Bonner for their work with the area’s Substance Abuse Prevention Coalitions. Both were presented tributes for their leadership in building partnerships and expanding prevention services locally.
“Serving this community is one of the greatest privileges of my life,” Frisbie said. “Calhoun County is full of people who invest their time, their talent, and their heart into helping their neighbors. I’m grateful for every chance to support their work.”
