The City of Battle Creek announced on Mar. 31 that several city services will have schedule changes on Friday, April 3, in observance of the Good Friday holiday.

These adjustments are important for residents who rely on city offices and services, as some facilities will be closed while others remain open or operate under regular hours.

All administrative offices for the City of Battle Creek will be closed on April 3. Regular business hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., will resume on Monday, April 6. The Full Blast Recreation Center will remain open during its usual hours on Good Friday but will close Sunday, April 5, in observance of Easter; it too resumes normal operations Monday.

Ride Calhoun’s administrative offices are also set to close Friday but expect to reopen with regular hours after the weekend. However, Ride Calhoun’s RC MAX (fixed-route bus service), RC MOVE (paratransit service), and RC FLEX (on-demand service) will continue operating their normal schedules throughout the holiday.

Republic Services confirmed there would be no interruptions or delays in waste collection; pickups scheduled for Friday are expected to proceed as usual.

Residents can still access information and resources from the City through its website at battlecreekmi.gov or via social media platforms including Facebook, Nextdoor, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube.
