The City of Battle Creek has announced that the 2026 State of the Community Address was recorded on February 27. The final production is underway, and city officials expect to release the full video by March 9. Once available, the video will be accessible through the city’s website.

Community members are encouraged to continue submitting questions for local leaders through the end of March. This initiative aims to ensure residents’ concerns and interests are addressed in ongoing updates, which will be provided weekly.

This year’s address features a panel discussion with leaders from Battle Creek, Springfield, Marshall, Albion, and Calhoun County. The panel will discuss recent accomplishments and outline priorities for the coming year. Topics for discussion will be guided by questions submitted by community members.

The event is pre-recorded and will be broadcast on both the city’s YouTube channel and AccessVision in early March. Residents can submit their questions or view existing questions and responses online.

“We expect to have the full video available by March 9. Once it is ready, it will be linked here for easy access,” city officials stated in their announcement.
