There was a single gas station in cities across Calhoun County selling diesel at the price of $3.89 per gallon in the week ending June 8, according to GasBuddy.com.
Of the four gas stations in cities within Calhoun County, just one offers diesel.
The average price of diesel in Michigan was $3.75, compared to $3.79 the week before.
Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year’s end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51. An outlook published in late 2023 suggests that gas rates will continue to fall in 2024.
